The 13TH ANNUAL DJ AWARDS
announces the 2010
CATEGORIES & NOMINEES
Catch the world’s
best-known DJs at the
13th edition of the
DJ Awards at Pacha Ibiza
on Tuesday, 28 September 2010.
The
biggest names from across
the genres of
dance music will gather to celebrate the
biggest tunes,
best parties and the technology
that has made an unforgettable season.

The winners in each genre are elected through a public vote and the honourees who lift the legendary
’Kryptonite’
trophy of knowing it is a tribute from their fans.
* It is made of green kryptonite and symbolizes the
mysteries of the

The
DJ Awards has become an
end of season tradition in Ibiza.
The awards
unite DJs who come to celebrate the music they love.
Previous winners
who’ve graced the Pacha stage include
Erick Morillo, Sven Vath, Tiësto,
Paul Oakenfold, Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos Danny Tenaglia, Ferry
Corsten, Carl Cox & Christian Varela.
The
2010 awards ceremony will include
special guest performances
and the
party will continue till closing with
Louie Vega and friends.
Every year
the DJ
Awards has a theme. This year’s is
Water
– we hope that the focus will help to prevent the imminent
water-shortages around the world.

PAUL DES presents the DJ
Awards ceremony for the third time.

Des Paul, DJ Hed Kandi Party, is known for his
program ’Dance Anthems’ on the famous London Capital Radio
95.8FM.
He has over 15 years experience in radio and his fame in
the dance music scene dates back to the days when you could
dance on the terrace of Café Mambo. He has been involved in the
music industry for over 15 years and has won several awards as a
presenter.
He also worked for MTV Networks UK. |
During the ceremony
there will be two
live
performances by
singers known in the dance music industry,
Ida Corr & Nalaya
 |
Nalaya had the same teacher that guided the career of
Ricky Martin. In the summer of 2007 she was hired by club
Amnesia Ibiza to sing live and join the World Tour with
Matinée
Group.
Two years later she became the lead singer of the party
Supermartxé at
Privilege Ibiza, singing to 15,000 every Friday of
the summer.
Nalaya has performed on London stage, Amsterdam, Moscow, Cairo,
Rome, Brazil ... and of course in Spain.
She was also nominated as BEST AP in DeejayMag 09.

Ida Corr, Danish singer, composer & producer of dance
music rose to fame in her native Denmark in 2005 with the
release of their debut album StreetDiva and in 2006 with another
album Robosoul. After creating a special theme with DJ Fedde Le
Grand as part of a series of international concerts LIVE EARTH
her popularity began to spread outside Denmark. In January 2009,
Ida received the European Border Breakers Awards in Groningen,
an award for being the Danish interpreter selling as many albums
in Europe. |
The
DJ Awards have
established a partnership with the
Ibiza Music Cluster,
which is an association of the newly established music industry promoted
by the local government. As a result the
Ibiza Music Awards were
created represented by the Outstanding Achievement Awards, Media and
Ibiza Resident DJ to be revealed in the show of the DJ Awards.
There will be two live radio broadcasts:
- 1,
Ibiza Sonica Radio will broadcast the press cocktail at the Hotel Ocean
Drive which incl. exclusive interviews with some
of the nominees,
- from 20.00 to 22.00. - on 95.2 FM

Global Radio will continue live coverage of the ceremony as part
of the
Pacha Show, interviewing all winners.
